This week's message

"Belshazzar Gave a Party"
Daniel 5:1-31

He was driven from among the children of mankind, and his mind was made like that of a beast, and his dwelling was with the wild donkeys. He was fed grass like an ox, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven, until he knew that the Most High God rules the kingdom of mankind and sets over it whom he will.

The Tooth Fairy, Distant Galaxies, and Heaven
starsI remember as a child expectantly placing the newly ‘lost’ tooth under my pillow. The next morning, like magic, I would find a pack of Trident gum and a shiny quarter – what a reward. Despite the rumblings I was convinced, as were many of my young friends, that the Tooth Fairy was very real, had an enormous stock house of gum and dispensed more quarters than the change machine at the laundromat. Upon further review, with more knowledge of such things - I would like to recant my vigorous defense of the wee gum-ladened tiny winged fairy. Seems as a child I was subject to the whims of myths and peers.
